Charles “Mike” Michael Bridgeman, 66, of Alton, IL passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 in St. Louis, MO.He was born May 27, 1951 in Alton, IL to Benjamin and Carrie (nee: Corder) Bridgeman.Mike and Patricia Sue Monroe married December 27, 1992 in Alton, IL.Mike loved his family most of all, but also enjoyed and loved motorcycle and drag racing, working on his 1951 Chevy truck and 1968 Camaro. He had been a diesel mechanic on the river boats for many years and then worked at Slay Transportation in East St. Louis, IL as a trailer mechanic. He was a member of Charity Christian Center in Jerseyville, IL.Mike is survived by his wife, Patricia Sue (nee: Monroe) Bridgeman of Alton, IL; his children: Carrie (Steven) Mahan of Mt. Olive, IL, Julie Bridgeman of Alton, IL, Michael Bridgeman of Alton, IL, Charlotte (Shawn Dunbar) Bridgeman of Alton, IL, and Schelley (Alan Taylor) Lyons of Dow, IL; 13 grandchildren: Aspen, Seth (Zanner), Caitlyn, Joseph, Gage, Mikey, Sam, Jake, Tommy, Ben, Matt, Zoey, and Dallas; great-granddaughter, Realyn; brother, William (Ardice) Bridgeman of Elmira OR, IL; sister, Judith (Darrell) Goacher of Wood River, IL and many nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Bridgeman; mother and step-father, Carrie (nee: Corder) and Daddy John Bridgeman; two sisters: Myrtle Brockman and Charlotte Hansen and a grandson, David Cain Montgomery DunbaThe family will have a celebration of life gathering at the Owl’s Club, 227 Blair Ave., Alton, IL from 2:00 p.m. until 6 p.m., on Sunday, October 29, 2017.Cremation services entrusted to Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL.
