Charles Ezra Hall, 89, of Cottage Hills passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at his home, with his family by his side. He was born May 25, 1929 in Hardin County to Willie and Nona (Hooven) Hall. He married Lorena May Holt July 4, 1958 in Cottage Hills. Charles enjoyed spending time with family, hunting and carpentry. He worked as an operator at Laclede Steel until his retirement in 1980.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Lorena Hall of Cottage Hills; daughters, Theresa (Steve) Outten of Bethalto, Brenda (Bob) Skelton of Godfrey, Gloria Springman of Cottage Hills, Kay Redman-Brown of Cottage Hills and Linda Hall of Cottage Hills; son, Charles Eric (Nikki) Hall of Wood River; 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Hall of Brighton and Howard Hall of Elizabethtown and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John, Gilbert and Hansel Hall and a sister, Beatrice Milligan.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights. Memorials can be made to BJC Hospice. Online guestbook available at www.paynicfh.com.
