Charles Douglas Sights, 70, passed away 3:18 am, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at his residence.
Born in Highland on October 7, 1947, he was the son of Byron Aris and Gladys L. (Crane) Sights.
He had been a scale clerk for the Olin Corporation for 34 years before retiring in 2008. He enjoyed playing pool and was a member of the East Alton American Legion Post #794.
On February 17, 1973 in Wood River, he married Julie Rister. She survives.
Surviving also are a son Byron Sights of Rolla, MO; daughter, Michelle (Brad) Bartnett of Fenton, MO; four grandchildren; brother, William Sights of St. Louis; and sister, Nancy Sights of Edwardsville.
In accordance with his wishes, his body was donated to medical research at Washington University school of Medicine.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River was in charge of arrangements.
