Charlene R. Holmes, 73, passed away 7:45 a.m., Sunday, December 3. 2017 at her residence.
Born in Alton on April 17, 1944, she was the daughter of Charles Haynes and Marie (Bunyan) Haynes Robinson.
On April 1, 1967 in Alton, she married Ronald Holmes. He survives.
Surviving also are two daughters, Caprice (Tim) Singleton and Tonya Holmes all of Alton; son Nick (Rochelle) Holmes; Several nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren, Danielle Singleton, Joseph Singleton, Rosie Vasques, Drew Vasques, Sophie Vasques, Ethan Holmes, Eliza Holmes; and a great grandson, Jase Holmes.
Her parents; three brothers; and two sisters preceded in death.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton. Father Jason Stone will officiate.
Memorials may be made in her honor to Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Sts. Peter and Paul School or St. Vincent dePaul Society.
