Cathy Flasar

Cathy E. Flasar, age 69, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on January 4th, 2017. Cathy was born July 26, 1947 in East Alton, Illinois, the daughter of the late Lyndell & Lois E. (Peters) Schutz. Cathy is survived by her children Alex (Flasar) and Amy (Cohen); grandchildren Eli, Lela, and Sophie (Cohen); and two brothers, Phil and Paul (Schutz). Besides her parents Cathy was preceded in death by children Tanya and Brian (Boyland). Dear mother and grandmother, friend too many, and life-long nurse and nursing instructor. Services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, 600 Water Street in Edwardsville, IL, on Saturday, February 4th, at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow services. Cathy had an affection for animals and would like memorials to be made to the donor’s choice of any non-kill animal shelter.
