Carrie Pruitt, 52, passed away at 12:45pm on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on May 2, 1971, in St. Louis, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Kostecki) Golden of Edwardsville and the late Billy H. Pruitt. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons and a daughter in law: Josh and Taylor Pruitt of Bethalto, Aaron Pruitt of Wood River, her siblings: Kelly Golden – Graves and her husband: Tony of Columbia, Illinois, Shane Golden of Wood River, Marissa Pruitt of South Korea, Robert Golden and his wife: Tonya of Rock Hill, South Carolina, David Pruitt of St. Louis, Steven Pruitt of St. Louis, Kevin Pruitt and his wife: Katie of St. Louis, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Carrie was employed at Mercy Hospital as the Lead Data Analyst of Risk Claims and Insurance in the Legal Department.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 5pm until time of reflection at 7pm on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.
Memorials are suggested to the family with checks payable to Robert Golden to be used to help troubled teens and will be accepted at the funeral home.
