Carolyn Sue Brown, 66, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at her home.
Born Jan. 20, 1960 in Russellville, KY, she was a daughter of Leon and Mary Ann (Forgy) Brown.
Carolyn had worked in the housekeeping department for an area nursing home. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping.
She is survived by the man she spent the last 31 years with, Terry Kuni of Meadowbrook; a daughter, Mary Ann Shewmake of East Alton; a son, Larry Shewmake, Jr. of East Alton; 5 grandchildren, Dillon Compton, Brady Compton, Brittany Compton, Gavin Haynes, and Keelan Haynes; several siblings and an aunt, Susie Thompson of Pocahontas, who she was very close to.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Michael Thomas Shewmake.
