Carol Smalley

Carol Ann (Small) Smalley, age 87, of Wood River, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Alton Memorial Rehab in Alton.

Born on September 25, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois, Carol was the daughter of Wilburn and Ann Small. Carol was a Contractor Administrator for the Department of Defense.

She is survived by her son, Gregory R. Smalley II and a daughter, Laura Saflarski; grandchildren, Jade E. Perritt, Gregory R. Smalley III, Joseph C. Smalley and Daniel C. Smalley.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Douglas G. Small.

No service will be held. Memorials maybe made to the American Cancer Society or COPD Foundation.
