Carol Profaizer

Carol Ann Profaizer, 84, of Gillespie, IL, died at Carlinville Area Hospital, Carlinville, IL on Thursday, December 14, 2023.  She was born December 2, 1939, in Gillespie, IL to Joe Bourey & Marie Hamlin Bourey.  She married Frank J. Profaizer on October 10, 1959 in Gillespie, IL.  He preceded her in death on October 12, 2010.  She was a bank teller in Springfield, IL.  Carol was a former volunteer at Gillespie Public Library.  She loved Bingo, Pinochle, crocheting, growing flowers and cruising in her convertible.  She is survived by her children, Steven (Laura) Profaizer of Colmesneil, TX, Joe (Carrie) Profaizer of Rocky Mount, MO, Susan (Mike) Marcacci of Benld, IL, grandchildren, Jessie, Kennedy, Travis, Dylan, Maya, Michael, Nick, Whitney, great-grandchildren, Paisley, Reed, siblings, Helen Fellin of Taylorville, IL, Loretta Tippins of Des Moines, IA and JoAnn (Don) Pratt of Monticello, IL.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, sister, Madeline Hrastich, brothers in law, Ray Tippins, Bill Fellin and William Hrastich.  Friends may call on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 5:00 pm until 7:30 pm.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie at 7:30 pm.  Memorials are suggested to Gillespie Football Boosters or St. Baldrick's Foundation.  Anyone wishing to send an online condolence may do so at www.kravanyafuneral.com.
