Carol Ann Lacey, age 73 of Alhambra, IL, died Friday, April 19, 2024, at her home, in Alhambra, IL.
She was born on Thursday, December 21, 1950, in Alhambra, IL, the daughter of Norman and Alma (nee Sievers) Henschen.
On Friday, November 14, 1975, she married Larry L. Lacey.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ.
Carol Ann was born and raised in Alhambra; graduated from Highland High School in 1969 and was the class salutatorian. She lived all her life in Alhambra; worked for Florist Mutual, Edwardsville, until their son Greg was born. She was a stay at home mom. Later she helped her father with bookwork for his carpentry business and then from there was an assistant manager at the Montclaire Bowling Alley, Edwardsville, until it closed. She enjoyed her pet cats, gardening and summer league bowling.
Survivors include: Son-Greg L. Lacey, Alhambra, IL; Brother-Lawrence N. (Judy) Henschen, Alhambra, IL; Brother-In-Law-Terry Lacey, Edwardsville, IL; Niece-Jill L. (Brian) Verson, Alhambra, IL; Nephew-Brett L. (Jennifer) Henschen, Hamel, IL; Nephew-Darrell Lacey, Edwardsville, IL.
She was preceded in death by: Father - Norman Laverne Henschen; Mother-Alma L. Henschen (nee Sievers); Husband-Larry L. Lacey - Died 12/22/2013.
Arrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra, IL.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra, IL., with Rev. Jeremy R. Wood, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in Alhambra, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Cemetery; Salem United Church of Christ Memorial Fund or Salem United Church of Christ Building Fund.
