Carol C. Heidt, 79, of Belleville, IL born Wednesday, January 29, 1947 in Du Quoin, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, October 9, 2026, at her residence in Belleville, IL surrounded by her family.
Carol was selected for and received her Diploma from the University School of Southern Illinois University (SIU) in 1965. The program she graduated from was very competitive and took only the most talented students from around the Carbondale area at the time. From there, Carol went to Atlanta and became a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur working in the mil-spec cable and wire industry with her husband. She later also worked in the automotive, home appliance, carpet, and real estate industries. Outside of work, Carol was a talented cook, painter, sculptor and quilter. Family and friends meant everything to her, and she loved connecting with people.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Funeral: As per family’s wishes. Cremation will be held. Services will be private.
