Carol Rhodes

Carol A. Rhodes, age 76, went to be with the Lord at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at her home with her family by her side under the care of OSF Hospice.

She was born October 2, 1942, in Petersburg, VA, the daughter of the late William & Helen (Wimbish) Barnett. She married Rolland D. Rhodes on October 30, 1970 in Petersburg, VA. He passed away on March 31, 2011.

Carol was employed at Olin Corp as a quality inspector for many years. She was a member of Wanda United Methodist Church and was a member of Bethalto Kiwanis for over twenty years. She enjoyed bowling with friends for many years but her true passion was time with her family.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses, William Demler of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Donna Hagermann of Deltona, FL, Richard Demler of Colorado Springs, Co and Becky (Anthony) Dipaolo of East Alton; five grandchildren, Brandon, Austin, Tyler, Jordan and Jaden; five siblings and their spouses, Bobby (Isabella) Faison of Corbon, KY, Linda Lewis of Petersburg, VA, Shirley Holmes of Henrico, VA and Bob (Carol) Archer of Whitesboro, TX and numerous nephews and nieces.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.

Funeral services will be at 10 am on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Wanda United Methodist Church, with Pastor Beckwith officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, IL.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
