Carl Fredrick Roberts, 88, of Medora, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, in Jerseyville.
He was born on September 29, 1937, in Kemper, the son of the late Henry and Lorabell (Meeks) Roberts.
Carl married Shirlene Hagen on January 16, 1965, she survives.
He was cable splicer for GTE telephone company. Carl enjoyed spend time outdoors, mushroom and arrowhead hunting. He also enjoyed trap shooting, but most of all he loved being a grandpa and great grandpa.
Carl is survived by his wife, Shirlene; two sons Morgan “Marty” (Julie) Roberts of Medora and Jeffrey (Melissa) Roberts of Brighton; three grandchildren Amanda (Brad) Lloyd, Cody (Victoria) Roberts, and Morgan Roberts Jr; two great grandchildren Anders Lloyd and Emmery Roberts; sister Betty Bennett; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Bernice Moreland; brother Henry “Bud” Roberts; daughter in law Dawn Roberts.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of funeral mass at 11 am on Friday, April 24, 2026, at St, John’s Catholic Church in Medora.
Burial will follow at St. Denis Cemetery in Shipman.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
