Bryan Lee Thompson, 54, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 at his home, in peace, surrounded by his friends and family.
He was born Sept. 14, 1963 in Alton, and he worked as a barge engineer for Steel City Marine. Bryan loved his job, his family, and his friends. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and was a genuinely kind and loving person.
He is survived by three sisters, Elaina Osterbur, Carla Maynard, and Lillian Smith; three brothers, Tom Flynn, Steve Bunch Flynn, and Michael Flynn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas E. Flynn and Gloria (Rowland) Flynn, and a sister, Jill Saunders.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
