Brody Haston

Brody Samuel Haston, age 11, passed away peacefully after a courageous 3.5-year battle with cancer. From the moment he was diagnosed, Brody showed strength and bravery far beyond his years, facing every challenge with determination, humor, and heart.

Brody was a bright, creative soul who loved the color pink, the Dodgers, video games, and his brothers. He had a special fondness for all animals. His favorite was, of course, unicorns, hoping to one day open a unicorn farm and keep them all in one place.

He brought light and laughter wherever he went, touching the lives of everyone he met. His silly humor could lighten the mood in any room. Brody’s faith in Jesus was an important part of his life and gave him peace and strength throughout his journey, which in turn inspired others. He trusted deeply in God’s love, and his faith was a quiet but powerful testimony to those around him.

Brody was deeply loved by his family, who will forever carry Brody’s courage and love in their hearts. He was cherished by his parents, brothers, extended family, friends, teachers, coaches, and the many caregivers and supporters who walked alongside him.

Though his time on Earth was far too short, Brody's impact was immeasurable. He taught those around him about resilience, unconditional love, and finding hope even in the hardest moments.

Brody went to be with the Lord in the comfort of his family and friends on January 13 at 5pm. He is whole, healed, and rejoicing with Jesus.

Family and friends are invited to a time to remember Brody Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Greenville First Christian Church from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Services will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Tyson Graber officiating. Visitation will also be held an hour prior to service time. Brody loved and wanted all animals, so in his honor, please make memorials to the Bond County Humane Society in lieu of flowers, plants, and gifts. Donations may be made at the services or mailed to Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home, 203 West Oak, Greenville, Illinois 62246.
