Brenda Faye Warix, 66, died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville.
She was born in Alton on May 20, 1951, one of seven children born to the late Horace and Ruby (Glidwell) Warix
Brenda grew up in the Alton area and later moved to Florida, where she raised her family before relocating to Jerseyville in 1984, where she has remained for the past 34 years.
During her time in Florida, Brenda acquired a love of water and, most especially, fishing which she continued to enjoy for many years to come.
Surviving are a son and daughter in-law, Robert "Bobby" & Brenda Skelton of Godfrey; three grandchildren, Samantha Skelton of Wood River; Mallory & Mitchell Madson of Dow and Branden Skelton of Godfrey; 5 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Stone and JoAnn Drulard, both of Jerseyville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandaughter, Lana Lynn Hill; three brothers, Bill, Donald and Ronald Warix as well as a sister, Carlene Hartmann.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
