Brenda Brown

Brenda Joyce Brown, 82, of Gillespie, IL, died at Community Memorial Hospital, Staunton, IL on Friday, August 4, 2023.  She was born March 15, 1941, in Winfield, MO to William Watts & Darlene Tayon Watts.  She married Jack Brown.  She was an owner for Jack's Tavern.  Brenda was a member of the CFU Lodge 217.  She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Mark) Carpani of Gillespie, IL, Lynette (Bruce) Hedrick of Gillespie, IL, step children, Peggy Carey of Gillespie, IL, Jackie (Pat) McKinney of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Mark David Carpani, Lindsay Koniak, Steven Carey, Michael Carey, Madison Hedrick, Chloe Hedrick, Sofia Hedrick, Neil McKinney, Bryce McKinney, Amanda Manley, Justin McKinney, 4 great-grandchildren, sisters, Candy, Carlean.  Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, son, Jerry Jones, daughter, Patty Brown, brothers, Billy, Bo, sisters, Jeannette, Janiece, Cleo, Celeste, Johnny.  Remains will be cremated.  No public services will be held at this time.  Anyone wishing to send an online condolence may do so at www.kravanyafuneral.com.
