Brenda Albrecht

Brenda Lou Albrecht, 81, of rural Livingston, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born January 7, 1945 in Georgia, the daughter of the late Harvey & Mabel (Bare) Bickell. She married her first husband, Bill Lovsey, & they later divorced. She later married Gordon Rabich & he passed away in 1986. She then married Irvin Albrecht & he passed away in 2018.

Brenda was employed as a Certified Nurses Aide with Staunton Care Center (now Staunton Health & Rehab Center) for many years. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livingston, IL, & enjoyed the “country life style”…gardening, cooking, sewing, & quilting. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by one son - Michael Lovsey (Andy) of Jasper, Alabama; three daughters - Zina (Dennis) Randle of Granite City, IL, Billie (Bill) Secrest of Hamel, IL, & Leanna Lovsey-Hughes of Powderly, TX; a step daughter - Patrice Shalenko; eight grandchildren - Vanessa, Ryan, Alex, Joshua, Brendan, Courtney, Roni, & Lauren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters - Wanda Morrow of Springfield, IL, & Linda Greenfield of Sherman, TX; & numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.

Besides her husbands & parents, she was preceded in death by two sons-in-law - Vinny Diaz & John Hughes; a step son - Douglas Albrecht; & a great granddaughter - Alayah Goodman.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at Lesicko Funeral Home in Livingston, IL. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at Lesicko Funeral Home in Livingston, IL, with Pastor Darwin Schrader officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
