Bradley James Meyers, just Brad to his many friends, passed away Wednesday September 17th, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Brad is now at peace.
Born September 16, 1960. He was a graduate of Alton Senior High School in 1978. He later worked as a producer for KMOV TV in St. Louis. He was also a DJ for WSMI Radio in Litchfield, Illinois. Brad was a longtime member of the East End Improvement Association and worked on the Halloween Parade Committee.
Preceded in death by his parents James and Martha Meyers, he is survived by his brother Scott H. Meyers of Godfrey.
Brad was blessed to have many friends in downtown Alton who cared, especially Mac Lenhardt who extended Brad support for years. Special thanks to the staff at Hayner Library, Schwegel's Grocery, Danny's Lounge, Fred and Susie at the First Presbyterian Church, ladies at the OTB as well as the caregivers in the ICU at Alton Memorial Hospital.
All those that knew Brad knew he lived his life as he wished.
There will be a celebration of Brad's life Thursday September 25th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mac's Downtown.
A private burial ceremony will take place at a later date.
