Boyd S. Poston, 86, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Granite City.
Born July 6, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Melvin Poston and Ruth (McConnell) Murphy.
Boyd was lovingly raised by his grandparents, the late Emmett and Estell McConnell. He retired from AG Edwards after 30 years of dedicated service as a financial broker and had also served as a Professor of Finance with St. Louis University for many years.
He enjoyed his days of following the horse races and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Boyd was very cordial and friendly and always had a smile on his face.
He is survived by a beloved friend of 50 years, John Winklmeier of Granite City; other extended family and many dear friends.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peters Cemetery, 2101 Lucas and Hunt in Normandy, Missouri with Father Jeff Holtman officiating.
