Bonita “Bonnie” Kay Eberle, age 84 of Maryville, IL, born June 3, 1939, in Butler, PA, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Liberty Village in Maryville, IL with her family by her side.
Bonnie retired from River Bluffs Girl Scouts as a shop manager after 20 years of service. She was a lifelong girl scout and leader for her daughters’ troops. She was a member of Our Lord’s Lutheran Church in Maryville, and enjoyed camping, hiking, sewing, and arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary (nee Richardson) Graham; a daughter, Hally Eberle; a sister, Judith “Judi” Graham; a brother-in-law, Robert McGuire; and a nephew, Donald McGuire.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis J. Eberle, whom she married January 3, 1959; two daughters: Tammy (Robert) Corrie of Maryville, IL and Kelly (Steve) Loyet of Highland, IL; three grandchildren: Brandon Stalets, Robert J. Corrie, and Ryan J. Corrie; six great-grandchildren: Aiden Nolte, Brooklynn Corrie, Elayna Stalets, Emma Corrie, Bennett Corrie, and Oliver Stalets; a sister, Frankie Graham; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023 and 10 -11 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Darla Ann R. Kratzer officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Glen Carbon, IL.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or Our Lord’s Lutheran Church and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
