Billy G. Kessinger, 83, passed away 6:10 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at his residence.
Born in East Alton on March 3, 1934, he was the son of Harold Kessinger and Jeanette (Pollard) Clapp.
A U.S. Army Reservist, he retired as a Supervisor for McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis.
On February 25, 1955 in Bunker Hill, he married Cleda Davis. She survives.
Surviving also are two sons, Ranson Kessinger of Dorsey, Kevin Kessinger and his companion, Dena of Staunton; two daughters, Belinda (Greg) Boren of Dorsey, Tammy (Jeff) Julen of Woodburn; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Dale Kessinger of Cottage Hills; and two sisters, Gale Ufert of Wood River and Helen Bertagnolli of Bethalto.
His parents; son, Harold Kessinger; grandson; and brother, Gary Kessinger preceded in death
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m., Thursday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Tom Rayborn will officiate.
Memorials may be given to the family in care of expenses.
