Billy Frost, 93 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
Billy was born on June 21, 1925 in Pomona, Illinois; the son of the late Henry William and Maggie Alice (Provews) Frost.
Billy gave 37 years to Granite City Steel in the hot strip and was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church in Granite City where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for over 30 years. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Billy will be remembered for his loving heart and all the special times he shared with his family and friends.
Billy is survived by and will be missed by his wife; Norma (Gearhart) Frost, whom he married on June 5, 1949; daughters, Marsha (Frank) Martinez of Mansfield, TX, Wanda Chandler of Granite City, IL; grandchildren, Andrew (Cynthia) Martinez, Alexander (Alyssa) Martinez, Nicole (Charles) Kessler; great-grandchildren, Ari Bella Martinez, Adelynne Martinez, Amirah Martinez, Abigail Martinez, Miaya Kessler, Dylan Jones, Mikah Kessler, Easton Kessler; brother, George Frost.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his 10 brothers and sisters.
Visitation for Billy will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City.
In celebration of Billy’s life, services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Brimm officiating at Bethel Pentecostal Church, 2445 Ohio Ave. in Granite City.
Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.
Memorial donations are suggested to Bethel Pentecostal Church.
