Bill Vinyard

Bill Vinyard, 76, passed away 6:53 am on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.

Bill was born in Karbers Ridge, IL on November 28, 1940, the son of Aaron and Nellie (Davis) Vinyard.

He married Loretta (Jeane) Duff on May 14, 1959 in Cottage Hills, IL. She survives.

Bill was the owner and operator of Vinyard Sanitation for many years. He was then self employed as an over the road truck driver. Bill attended Assembly of God Church. Bill enjoyed Stock car driving, farming, riding horses, playing cards and playing washers. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children and their spouses; Tina Brandt of Poonton Beach, Sheila Lopez of Alton, Chris and David Colyer of Fosterberg, Belinda (Lynn) and Larry Midkiff of Brighton, Randy and Joevelyn Vinyard of East Alton, Jana and Chuck Hudson of Brighton; five siblings, Margie and Carl Green of Brighton, Betty and Jim Hawkins of Cottage Hills, Brenda Jenkins of Wood River, Aaron and Vicky Vinyard of Godfrey, Ronnie Vinyard of Arizona; 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren with 3 on the way.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters Corena Eby and Mary Cremeens; one brother-in-law, Ivan Eby.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 9:30 am until the time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Roy Rhodes officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
