Bill Beile

Bill Beile died early Friday morning, October 25, 2024. Born in 1953, William Matson Beile was the first of five boys born to Hal and Betty Beile. Bill’s arrival was a present to his mother as they would now share a June 21 birthday. He was born in Denver, CO but considered Alton, IL as his hometown. Bill attended Western Military Academy before graduating from Alton High School. As the esteemed elder, he introduced his younger brothers to good books, excellent music and the virtues of craft and cunning over raw talent as he long maintained his spot at the top of the pecking order.

While pursuing a degree at Western Illinois University in Macomb, he took time out to explore other options. A stint at Beall Tool taught Bill that he did not want to make a living purely with his back and hands. Older and wiser, Bill completed his degree in Communications and after cutting his teeth selling for Hagar Hinge, he founded Mid Con Associates in 1992 partnering with his friend Mike Seago.

In 1983 Bill married Alma McKinney, his college sweetheart. They settled in Liberty, MO where Bill and Alma brought forth two more Beile boys – Matt and Andrew. Excellent athletes, they shared their father’s competitive spirit.

Bill’s passions included: a love of reading, indoor soccer, dogs (and the occasional cat) and of course, his boys. He was a long-time season ticket holder for the Chiefs and the Royals. He also very much enjoyed relaxing and nurturing friendships at Woodside health club. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include Alma Beile; wife, Andrew Beile; son, Matt Beile, son and brothers Robert, Richard, Steve and David.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4-6 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the home of Richard and Donia Beile 35 Danforth Road, Alton, IL. An additional Celebration of Life will be held in Kansas City at a date to be determined.
