Beverly Bivens

Beverly L. Bivens, 66, of Greenville, Illinois, passed away at 4:10 am Friday, July 22, 2016, at her home.

She was born on December 11, 1949 in Highland, Illinois, the daughter of Albert and Louise (Johnson) Bartels.

Beverly married Kenneth D. Bivens in Edwardsville on October 25, 1969. He survives.

She was a past member of Moro Presbyterian Church and was currently attending First Christian Church in Greenville. Beverly enjoyed spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks, reading, bird watching, and anything involving nature. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her children and their spouses, Kristen and Denny Pavlotich of Troy, Dana Bivens of Highland, Carrie and Kurt Grimmer of Rockwall, TX; six grandchildren, Clayton, Lauren, Isaac, Elijah, Benjamin and Braxton; four siblings and their spouses, Verlene and Butch Schwalb of Edwardsville, Bert and Marvin Ringering of Moro, Wilbert and EmmaJean Bartels of Brighton, Judy Gooch of Glen Carbon; and a brother in law, Charlie Kanning of Moro.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Janet Kanning.

Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Monday, July 25, 2016, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.  Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Moro Presbyterian Church in Moro, Illinois, with Rev. Marc Wendleton and Pastor Darryl Bolen, officiating.

Burial will follow at Moro Presbyterian Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Bond County Hospice and or Moro Presbyterian Church.
