Beverly Conrad

Beverly Jean Conrad, 55, died at 6:55 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015, just one day shy of her 56th birthday at Willow Rose Rehab & Health Center with her family by her side under the care of Saint Anthony’s Hospice.

She was born on June 4, 1959 in Alton, one of four children born to the late Earl & Madjie (Ashworth) Perry.

Beverly grew up in the Alton/Godfrey area, graduating with the class of 1978 from Alton High School.

She married Wesley “Wes” Conrad on September 1, 1979 at the First United Methodist Church in Jerseyville and together they have been blessed with 35 years of marriage and the joys that came with raising their two daughters.

Beverly worked for many years as a line cook at Steak N’ Shake in Alton, where she retired in 2002. She had a passion for yard sales, and her home stands as a testament to all of the treasures she found throughout the years. It was her family, however, who provided her with the most joy and excitement in her life, especially her grandchildren whom she loved immensely.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wes Conrad of Jerseyville; two daughters, Jennifer & Ashley Conrad, both of Jerseyville; four grandchildren, Kayla Conrad, Wyatt Gamblin, Cadence Devening and Chase Devening; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Teresa Perry of Godrey; Sherry & Dave McClintock of O’Fallon, Mo; her mother-in-law, Norma Conrad of Jerseyville; along with many friends and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Logan Devening and a brother, Tony Perry Sr.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

Burial will take place at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
