Beverly Cory

Beverly Elaine Cory, 81, passed away suddenly at 2:43 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at OSF St. Anthony’s Health Center. 

Born January 28, 1937 in Modesto, IL, she was the daughter of Raymond Eber and Marjorie A. (Alderson) Grinkey.  Ms. Cory retired from A T & T.  Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Kim Clymer of Godfrey, two grandchildren, Ryan Clymer of St. Louis, MO, and Morgan Hudson (Dustin) of Godfrey, three great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Declan Hudson, Easton Hudson, and Maren Hudson. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Grinkey. 

Beverly loved life.  She loved traveling, spending time with friends, playing cards and visiting with her great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.  Reverend David Anderson will officiate.  Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery.
