Beverly Ann Jacoby, 83, of Alton, went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2020 at 12:07 p.m. at Riverside Rehab & Healthcare in Alton.
Beverly was born on September 26, 1937 in Brownstown, Illinois, a daughter of the late Dorothy (Arnold) and Bruce Green.
Beverly had been retired for several years. Previously, she had worked as an Aide in the Adult Day Care Center at the YWCA in Alton for many years. Beverly had also been very active in local Alton politics in her younger years.
She is survived by a sister, Rhoda (Frank) Peterson, of York, South Carolina and two brothers, Glen (Helen) Green of Greenville and Robert Green of Jacksonville.
She is also survived by a special niece who loved her dearly, Robbie Lewis of Godfrey, along with several other nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Geraldine Lewis, and former husband, Paul Jacoby.
Due to Covid restrictions, services will be private. Gray Funeral Home in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial may be given to that of one's choice.
