OCCUPATION Southwestern High School Teacher of Economics and Consumer’s Education programs which she founded. Betty also worked for the U of I Extension and served in the US Signal Corp in Washington, DC where she was a Cryptographic Aid during W W #2. She taught in many areas, including Medora, Rochester, Mounds, Carlinville, Champaign, Jerseyville and Northwestern Schools. She founded the Home Economics programs in many of these schools.

MEMBERSHIPS Order of the Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors of America, IL Retired Teachers Association, IL Association of Family & Community Education, Macoupin County Home Extension, DAR, Medora Salvation Army. She loved playing cards and the Medora canasta club.
