Betty Lee Stewart, 94, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Bethalto Care Center.
Betty was born October 3, 1924 in Gillespie, IL. She married Kenneth Stewart June 19, 1943 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death in 1984.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to all her family, who called her "Granny". She enjoyed visiting craft shows and working at the Community Hope Center in Cottage Hills.
Betty is survived by a daughter-in-law, Vickie Stewart of Wood River; grandchildren Danielle (Andrew) Huddleston, Kelsie (Austin Ward) Stewart, and Erik Brown; great grandchildren, Brynn, Avery, Addyson, Brent, Christian, Logan, and Layla; and her dear friend, Donna Knight of Dorsey.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey H. (Shields) Wilder; her father and stepmother, Harry and Irene Wilder; a son, David Stewart; a daughter, Karen Brown; and her sister, Marian Magnesio.
Family services will be held on Tuesday, with burial at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be given to the Community Hope Center.
