Betty June Fuchs, 89, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 1:12 a.m. Sat. Dec. 1, 2018 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
She was born July 11, 1929 in East St. Louis, IL to the late Evelyn (Smith) Ogden Levandowski and Audie Ogden.
On May 21, 1945, she and Leonard Martin Fuchs Jr. were married in Norfolk, VA. He preceded her in death Dec. 3, 2009.
Betty was a retired medical recorder for the State of Florida in Clearwater. She was lifetime member of the YMCA.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Toni Bautsch and Cheri Fuchs of Granite City; 2 sons: Bill (Onie) Fuchs of Byron, GA and Leonard Martin Fuchs III of AZ; 6 grandchildren: Michaela (Chief Warrant Officer 3 James) Moss, Tonya (Justin) Bernaix, Traci (Dwayne) Watson, Bill (Raquel) Fuchs Jr., Retired First Sergeant Leonard (Nan) Fuchs IV and Jason Fuchs; and 10 great-grandchildren: Kaylie, Kameron, Caden, Alex, Christopher, Garret, Kinsley, Barrett, Beauson and Martin.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Frank Bautsch; and 2 brothers: Jim and Lindy Odgen.
