Betty J. Wall, 58, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at her home. Born Feb. 16, 1953 in Eldorado, Ill., she was a daughter of James and Juanita (Harris) Burns. She married Darrel W. Wall, Sr. in 1969. He passed away March 3, 2007.
Survivors include two daughters and their companions, Tammy Wilkins of Bethalto and Jeff Wilkins, Sr., and Christy Herrmann of Cedar Hill, Mo. and Mike Ross; two sons, Darrel W. Wall, Jr. of Benld and David Palmer; 20 grandchildren, Samantha Nelson, Galyn and Jenna Palmer, Scooter, Justin and Joshua Wilkins, Jenna Petrokovich, Jacob, Jordan and Abigail Herrmann, Carli Ross, Shawn, Paige and Jadon Wehrle, and Cody, Clayton, Kelsey, Dalton, Ethan and Danay Wall; 9 great grandchildren; her sisters, Judy Traum of California, Nancy Spann of Texas, Janet Lajoie of Nevada, Joyce Kyle and Debbie Burns, both of Illinois, and Linda Overton of Oklahomo; and her brother, Lonnie Mercer of Illinois.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Shelly Wehrle; a granddaughter, Jessica Wilkins; and three sisters, Brenda Shapiro, Robin Barker, and Phyllis Dearduff.
Visitation will be at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights on Wednesday, Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m.
Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
