Betty J. Landers, 89, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at her home.
Born June 18, 1929 in Alton, she was a daughter of Roy E. and Alice M. (Scoggins) Delp.
She married Dale E. Landers Oct. 20, 1988 in New Port Richey, FL. He passed away Apr. 2, 1998.
Betty was a longtime member of the Wood River VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary and had been a member of the Wood River Moose Lodge.
Survivors include a daughter, Dena Bush of East Alton; grandchildren Phillip (Amanda) Bush, Deann (William) Garland, and Lacy Wray; 6 great grandchildren; a brother, Marvin Delp of East Alton; a sister, Dixie Baldwin of Alton; and her lifetime friend of 75 years, Eagle Feather Barker of Godfrey.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Randy D. Bush; a grandson, Pvt. Matthew Bush; a sister, Wynona “Pearlie” Runion; and two brothers, Roy W. Delp and Damon Delp.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12 at Paynic Home for Funerals.
Private burial will be at a later date.
