Betty F. Biermann, 90, of Wood River passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Alhambra Care Center in Alhambra. She was born April 25, 1927 in Wood River to James O. and Hazel (Hayes) Hendrickson. She married Gilpin “Gil” W. Biermann February 18, 1950 in Wood River. Betty was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She volunteered for Operation Blessing as well as the girl scouts. In her free time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, painting and sewing.
She is survived by her husband Gil W. Biermann of Wood River; son, Michael Biermann of Ojai, CA; two daughters, Terri Lee (Robert) Gentry of Graham, WA and Karen K. (Tim) Doherty Of Maryville; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Hendrickson and two sisters, Mary Brokaw and Elma Maucker
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Don Wolford as Celebrant.
