Betty Bertels

Betty G. Bertels passed peacefully on 1/26/26 to join our Lord in eternal life.

She's survived by daughters, Barbara Bean of Ft Wayne, IN, Susan Gieseking(Bryan) of Dorsey,IL), Becky Schrage(Brian) of Edwardsville, IL grandchildren Trystan Schrage and Brian Bean(Cari), great grandchildren Mallory, Michael and Mason Bean and sister Martha Ann Zarges.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Merle E. Bertels, her brother Bill Zarges(Betty), sister Elaine Rice, sister Dorothy Wieseman (Harold) and brother Charles Zarges.

Betty was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church of Dorsey and the Lions Club of Bunker Hill. Betty enjoyed travel, playing cards with family, puzzling, reading and good food.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 2, 2026 at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Dorsey from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral services are Monday, February 2, 2026 at 12:00 pm at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Dorsey. Burial will be at Emmaus Lutheran Cemetery, Dorsey.
