Betty Huntsman

Betty Ann Huntsman, age 75, of Alton, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Alton Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.She was born November 28, 1942, in Alton, the daughter of Alfred and Angeline (Brinkman) Walls. She married Leo J. Huntsman and he preceded her in death in 1998.Betty was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Alton. She enjoyed arts and crafts, puzzles and crocheting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.She is survived by seven children and their spouses, Leo “Joe” Huntsman Jr. of Godfrey, IL, Leon and Patty Huntsman of Hollow Rock, TN, Mary Elizabeth Huntsman of Senath, MO, Theresa McKay of Fargo, ND, Angela and Billy Davis of Alton, Jeraldine and Pete Buhl of Godfrey, IL, and Joyce and Raymond Ridge of Festus, MO; eleven brothers and sisters; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.In addition to her husband, Leo; she is preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Leonard.Visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017, from 1:00 pm until the time of a Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm with Pastor Ralph Blake officiating at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.A private family burial will take place in Upper Alton Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Diabetes Association.Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL is in charge of arrangements.Online Condolences may be made at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
