Beth Davis

Rosewood Heights |

Our beautiful and vibrant Beth, 44, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2018.

Beth was born in Wood River, IL on Sept. 28, 1974 to James E. Davis and Elvera A. Davis. She was preceded in death by her mother, paternal and maternal grandparents, and two infant brothers, Johnny and Danny. Beth was a hard-working and talented self-employed painter.

She is survived by her father, five brothers, and seven sisters, who loved her very much: Jim Davis, Mike Davis, Joe (Tammy) Davis, Tom Davis Tim (Laura) Davis, DeeAnn (Sam) Titsworth, Janet (Tim) Cox, Linda Davis, Karen (Steve) Catt, Jeannie (David) Stratton, Patti (Steve) Snyder, and Susie (Mark) Marburger. Beth was a devoted Dog Mom to her best friend Daisy and a God-mother to her Goddaughter Isa. She was a very loved "Aunt Bessie" and second Mom to all of her many nieces and nephews: Michael, Melissa, Chris, Mandy, Carrie, Megan, Steven, Matt, Tim, Brittany, Haleigh, Brooke, Caiden, Mason, Alyssa, Everly, Madelyn, Luka, Presley, Eland and Alayna. Her long time friend Bob Kessinger was always there for her throughout her illness, as was her special cousin, Traci Dooley and very special friends: Amy, Kelly, Dionne, Trisha, Bev, Alisha, Kori, Beth, Claudia, Kim, Mark and Stick, and so many other wonderful friends who loved her very much.

Our little sister was passionate and amazing in all the wonderful ways a person could ever be. Along with her contagious laugh and that fantastic million-dollar smile she was known for, she was also a natural at making things beautiful. She had a great sense of style and could make all things beautiful. She had a lifelong affection for all animals and was an avid dog rescuer. She was simply unable to pass up a dog, or any animal for that matter, which was lost or needed help. Her greatest gift was her love for kids. Her nieces and nephews will miss her dearly, as will the countless number of other kids, who she always made feel special just by having a simple, fun-loving conversation with them. If Beth had one last wish, we know it would be that everyone she ever knew would rescue a dog from a shelter and give it a good home or do something nice for any child needing encouragement. If you do either of these things, we know that Beth would love the idea that you would include her by thinking of her.

Beth's dad, brothers and sisters will forever miss Beth and that bright light and energy that she added to our lives since the very moment our Mom brought her home from the hospital as "our baby". We know that she is safe and back in our mother's arms again, and we wholeheartedly believe in the promise that we will see our two beautiful ladies again someday - "And now they sleep".

The family will hold memorial visitation Saturday, Nov. 10 at Cornerstone Church in Bethalto from 11 a.m. until memorial services begin at 3 p.m. Pastor Erik Scottberg will officiate. Following, all are welcome to gather at High Flyers Grille in Bethalto for a Celebration of Life.

Memorials may be made to Macoupin County Animal Control and Adoption Center.
