Bessie Huber

Bessie “Betty” (Harris) Huber, age 91, of Godfrey, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at United Methodist Village in Godfrey.She was born November 26, 1925, in Fieldon, IL, the daughter of Robert and Faye (Vickroy) Harris. She married Harold Huber on January 20, 1962, in Alton, and he preceded her on August 23, 2008.She is survived by two lovely daughters and a dear son-in-law, Jean and Tony Hauck of Kirkwood, MO, and Mary Bregenzer of Bethalto, IL; four grandchildren and their spouses, David and Lisa Hauck of Kirkwood, MO, Melissa and Terry Ottwell of Godfrey, IL, Cara Hauck of Mehlville, MO, and Julie Bregenzer of Alton, IL; five grandchildren, Brody, Kelci, Madeline, Jacob, and Nolan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband, Harold; she is preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Verna McNealy, Alice Miller, Stella Dunsford, Eileen (Mae) Powell, and Freda Frye; and a brother, Arthur Harris.In accordance with her wishes, her remains have been donated to science.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home of Bethalto is in charge of arrangements.
