Beatrice Monroe, 94, formerly of Alton, passed away January 10, 2026 in Richmond, TX.
Born Aug. 15, 1931 in Alton, she was a daughter of Alvis and Viola (Craigmiles) Lovell.
She retired from Central Baptist Children’s Home and Family Service, now known as Kids Hope.
Surviving are her children, Ruthie (Michael) Coontz of Richmond, TX, Nancy Miller of Godfrey, Jeff (Debbie) Monroe of Katy, TX, Michael (Shawn) Monroe of San Diego, CA, and Brian (Jenny) Monroe of Alton; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Don (Debbie) Lovell of Alton; and endless nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Tanner and three siblings, Russell, Betty and Carol.
Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 21 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
