Barbara Jo Tyler. 73. Passed away on Sunday, May 7^th, 2017. At Alton Memorial Hospital.She was born August 3^rd, 1943, in Hillsboro, Illinois, the daughter of James and Ruby Christopher of Poplar Bluff Missouri. Barbara married Eugene Lewis Tyler on February 11th, 1963, in Bethalto, Illinois. He survivesShe was a home maker, a kind hearted, warm, caring woman who loved her friends and family. She loved to travel, spending time in nature, flower gardening as well as an animal lover who especially had an affinity with humming birds. She was a voracious reader who particularly enjoyed the works of J. K. Rowling, Christine Feehan, Andre Norton, and Jim Butcher. Survivors include 3 children and 2 daughters, David and Natalie Tyler of Woodriver, Illinois. Michael Tyler and Mark Tyler both of Meadowbrook, Illinois. Patricia Camp of St. Louis, Missouri. Seven grandchildren, Christopher Tyler, Tayler, Layne Edelen, Josh Edelen Tyler, Priyanka Echelon Chaudhary, Darryl Fahn, Destiny Salter, and Cory Houchlei. One brother and his wife Lester and Martha Guthrie, Sister, Carol Ann, Sister-In-Law, Nancy Tyler, and a dear cousin Joyce Cook and her Half-Sister Carol Arvin and her husband Richard.She was preceded in death by her parents, one Aunt, Alma Hicks, two Half-Sisters, Sandra and Brenda Christopher.  One nephew Mitchell Guthrie, and a Niece Dianna GuthrieElias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto Illinois is in charge of arrangements.Online Condolences can be given at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
