It is with profound grief we announce the passing of Barbara Jenkins on June 25, 2026. Born on December 7, 1940 in Eldred, Illinois. Barbara lived a life filled with kindness and radiant strength before her peaceful departure. She was known for her generosity and unyielding love for her family.
She leaves behind cherished memories with her beloved family, her daughter Lea Carroll and spouse John Carroll. Her son Scott Jenkins and spouse Joan Jenkins. Her grandchildren, Brandon Hevey and spouse Andy Hevey. Granddaughter , Erin Farra and spouse Michael Farra, great grandchildren, Kennedy and Ryan Farra. Granddaughter Lindsay Johnson and spouse Aaron Johnson. Grandson Ross Carroll and spouse Sammy Cook and great granddaughter Rosie. Granddaughter Jolee Carroll and fiancé Tyler Martin. Her sister Cathy Douglas. As well as many nieces and nephews.
She’s preceded in death with her parents Emert Johnisee, Mary Johnisee, her brothers Jerry, Terry, Larry (Butch), and her sister Mary Hellen.
Barbara's loving spirit, wisdom, and warmth will live forever in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace and her legacy thrive in the lives of those she influenced.
Her service will be held at the wonderful church where Barbara volunteered and cherished. First Methodist Church July 17th, 2026 at 11 am.
