Barbara Francis "Rogowicz" Witt

She was born on September 20, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Frank & Stella Rogowicz.
She married Benjamin Witt June 29, 1962 in Warwick, RI. He survives.
She worked as a register nurse for W.I.C. (Women, Infants & Children) for over 10 years. She loved crocheting, knitting, gardening and most of all she was a faithful Christian.
Besides her husband, she is survived by 4 daughters and a son and their families, Brenda & Marvin Thompson of Fowler, IN, Deborah Witt of Plainfield, IN, Tracy Witt of Alton, Shelly & Jeffrey Hillard of Robinson, IL, Brian Witt and his finance, Kristen Golwitzer of Park City, IL and 7 grandchildren, David Thompson, Justin Thompson, James Edward Thompson, Benjamin Joseph Witt, Nolan Hillard, James Elliot Hillard and Amber Hillard.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepmother, Marion (Richardson) Rogowicz.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel with Rev. Mark Scandrett officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Emmanuel Free Methodist Church.
