On December 31, 2016 at 9:35 pm, Barbara “Bobbie” J. Robinson danced her way into heaven with great pride. She fought to the end with her family by her side.
She was born on January 15, 1939 in Ft. Riley, Kansas the daughter of Allen and Betty McDonald- Mann. On May 25, 1957 she married George Robinson in Junction City Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1983.
She loved to bowl, fish, play video games, crochet, and watch sports. She loved her family most of all.
She is survived her four children, Michael Robinson of Arizona, Debi Robinson (Danny) of Georgia, Matthew Robinson of Alton and Victoria Asbury (Mark) of Alton; her mother, Betty McKaig of Mt. Pleasant, TX; four sisters, Linda Gaskin (Larry) of Texas, Shirley Payne (LTC (R) Herb), Jane Mortensen (Rev. Dale), and Marva McPherson (Brent) all of Louisiana; three brothers, Gene McKaig Jr. (Sinda) of Kansas, Jimmy Mann (Teresa) of Arizona and Corky of Louisiana; 9 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband and her father.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Wednesday January 4, 2017 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Funeral service will be at 10 am, Thursday January 5, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Eric Scottberg officiating.
Burial will be at the Upper Alton Cemetery, Alton, IL
Memorial may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the Surviving Children to help with funeral expenses.
