Barbara Ann Williams, 63, passed away at 7:30 am Sunday February 24, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born in Alton on June 13, 1949 the daughter of the late Hal & Julia (Young) Harbaugh.
She married Paul Williams on June 26, 1966 in East Alton, IL.
Barbara served briefly in the US Navy, and then worked at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton as a nurse‘s aid and in the billing department.
She enjoyed reading the Bible; The Gaither’s and was a retired member of AVEC.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Paul Williams of Wood River; four children, Hal & Sherri Williams, Ernest P Jr. & Heather Williams, Joyce & Mark Baldwin-Nasello and Carol & James Wray; thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, five siblings and spouses, Nancy & Gary Gaskill-Cagle, Betty King, Mary & Richard Harris and Linda & Kevin Flanagan and one aunt, Louise Northcutt.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers, David and John Harbaugh, and a sister, Janet Harbaugh.
Visitation will be from 12 pm until time of memorial services at 4 pm Thursday February 28, 2013 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with Pastor Ritch Goldizen officiating.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
