Barbara Ann Knight began her earthly journey on Friday, July 21, 1950, born to the union of Robert L. and Dorothy L. (Shaw) Knight. She graduated from Marquette High School. She worked at Alton Memorial Hospital Cafeteria until her retirement. Raised with a strong faith she continued to show her love for the Lord with all her heart. Coming from a large family on both sides of her parents, she was always surrounded by family and love.
Barb never met a stranger and she always had an open door for anyone in need. Known as the “Neighborhood Mom”, she was dedicated to her family and friends. She loved to cook for her family. She was a member of Bread of Life Fellowship Church and she loved going to church and saying, “Thank you, JESUS” and praising God. She loved to play softball, watch her basketball on TV and just relax in her favorite chair. She loved going outside and playing with her grandchildren and enjoyed sewing.
