Barbara Young

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Companion and Friend.

Barbara Aline Young passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 8:15 pm, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton, IL.

She was born on February 20, 1943 in Alton, IL the daughter of the late Orville and Juanita (Belcher) White.

Barb was a member of the LIFT program and the New Beginnings program. She enjoyed gardening and loved her dog Anna. Her greatest joy was spending time with her daughter and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter; Kelly Ley of Alton. Three grandchildren Emily Rose Ley  Zachary Ley and Carson Young.  Her companion Jim Hodge, four sisters;  Deborah (Daryll) Allen of Plainview, Rebecca L. Winiecke of Benld, Jackie  (Rick) Ahart of Edwardsville,  Dianna  (Joe) Dearduff of Moro, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be begin at 11 am with service at 1 pm,, Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel in Bethalto, IL.

Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
