Ardell “Red” Sievers, 88, passed away 3:55 am Monday May 8, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton.

He was born December 12, 1928 in Red Bud, IL, son of Charles and Caroline Sievers.

Ardell leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Roberta “Bobbie” Sievers.

Ardell retired from Lefton Iron and Metal in 1993.

Ardell was an Elder at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ruma and served as an Elder at Messiah Lutheran church in Alton where he remained a faithful member.

In addition to his wife Bobbie, Ardell is survived by sons, Joe (Flo) Sievers, Mike (Ann), Tim, Mark (Kim) Kuebrich; daughter-in-law Dottie (Chris) Kuebrich; grandchildren Aaron, Andrew (KC) Sievers;  Matthew (Sarah), Julia (Reece), Joe, Beth (Alex), Andrew, Jessica, Jared, Justin, Jenna, James, Jacob Kuebrich;  Zac, Kaci, Joey Eberlin; several great-grandchildren;  nieces Judy, Joyce, Maxine, Linda, Diane.

In addition to his parents, Ardell was preceded in death by his brothers Elmer and Erwin; son Chris Kuebrich, grandson Jack Kuebrich, and great-granddaughter Myah Eberlin.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Alton at 9am until time of service at 11 am.  Pastor Randy Fischer will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or BJC Hospice.
