Anthony P. Alben, 85, passed away at 9:42am on Monday, November 2, 2015, at his residence. He was born on June 17, 1930, in Alton, the son of the late John and Lucy (Virgo) Alben. He married the former Margaret Huddleston and she preceded him in death. Survivors include two daughters: Janice Alben, Linda Alben, and one son: Roger Alben.
He was formerly employed at Laclede Steel in the wire mill for 38 years. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
