Anna Terry

Anna L. Terry, 98, passed away at 1:40 pm on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Jerseyville Manor.She was born February 1, 1918, in Alton, the daughter of Joe and Pauline (Hartman) Copeland.She married John Terry on April 29, 1943 in Alton. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1968.Anna was an interior decorator. She worked at the old Sears store in 1960’s where she worked in the drapery department. She made drapes in her home in 1976 and retired in 2006.She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Robert and Donna Terry of Moro, David and Ta Terry of Colorado Springs, Kathleen and Robert Powell of Ironton, MO, Elaine and Robert Lam of Alton, John and Mary Terry of Bethalto; thirteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; siblings, William (Edna) Copeland of Alton, Marilyn Melton of CA, Paul (Lois) Copeland and Roberta Kennett of KY.In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a sister Ruby Harris and brothers Dean, Carles and Duane Copeland.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto where services will be held Friday July 15, 2016, at 10:00 am with Pastor Randy Copeland officiating.Burial will follow at Short Cemetery in Cottage Hills.Memorials may be made to Bethalto Church of God.Online condolence and guestbook may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
